Buying & Merchandising

The buying and merchandising team are tasked with continuously sourcing new and exciting merchandise and reviewing this alongside existing goods to ensure the organization remains competitive. Delivering a commercially viable range of merchandise at competitive prices, while staying up-to-date with market trends and reacting to changes in consumer demand, is no easy task.

With multiple seasons and programs to support, buying trips to far flung places, meetings with suppliers and manufacturers to review potential products, buyers and merchandisers have their hands full. Add existing relationship management and new sources of supply to be found, commercial plans to be managed and contracts to be negotiated, the task is quite daunting.

In order to achieve their objectives the buying and merchandising team can no longer rely on the traditional, labor-intensive and error-prone methods of e-mail, spreadsheets, fax and paper. They need the right tools to support these activities, facilitating more efficient collaboration with internal departments and external business partners, and providing them with the right information at their fingertips wherever they are in the world.
