TradeStone's Order Management Module contains robust functionality for buyers, merchants and factories alike:
Order Creation starts with the same Product Brief and RFQ/Offer details that have already been shared with potential vendors. Once the desired Vendor is selected, the buyer can quickly drag and drop the item details to be placed on each purchase order. The buyer can also include additional Documents, Conditions, Notes, and Instructions with the Purchase Order. This includes shipment instructions and packaging notes, or additional terms and conditions.
As there are new developments throughout the manufacturing process, or changes in market conditions, Vendors and Buyers can both take advantage of Order Collaboration to request a change to a particular attribute of the order. Common examples include ship dates, color substitutions, or even country of origin. Additionally, both Vendors and Buyers can trigger Production Tracking Event Models for each item on the Purchase Order. These models propose logical event milestones for a product given its product category, trade lane, country of origin, and floor set date. TradeStone captures these changes, automatically updates the order, recalculates the product event calendar, and recalculates the new costing information. Buyers can also calculate the impact of changes or delays on product IMU and margin.
As market conditions change, the Buyer can also initiate Order Component positioning and Order Splits. With visibility down to the raw material level, changes can be made to component commitments as demand fluctuates. Additionally, orders can be split by styles, quantities, or ship dates as market demand dictates. Of course, with all changes reflected in shipping and invoicing documentation.
And as each Purchase Order must be shipped in adherence to Customs regulations, TradeStone has developed a robust pre-classification process for Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTS) Classification. The system handles multiple HTS number assignments, plus the automatic retrieval of duty and quota category information upon assignment.
The Order Management Module plays a critical role in product time to market and financial reconciliation.
