Logistics Module

TradeStone's Logistics Module contains robust functionality for vendors and all supply chain stakeholders on the product's way to market:

The Logistics Auto-Association can first be invoked when the Purchase Order is being created. This pre-built logistics event model provides the critical milestones from port of lading, transportation mode, to port of unlading.

From this point, users can build out Port Profiles along with risk assessments. Additionally, Freight Rate and Trade Lane Information can be detailed for default carriers, forwarders/consolidators, freight rates for costing, brokers, etc. Logistics professionals can update costing models with negotiated rates for the movement of cargo, as well as note the effective dates for these rates and any accessorial fees. Rates can also be detailed down to commodity being shipped, container size, and carrier.

There are two ways to feed Bookings information and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs). The first method allows a service provider (like Maersk Logistics) to interact with TradeStone tables and reports through an XML transaction. The service provider can also provide additional alerts for notification of any delays.

The second option is the manual creation of a Booking with the Packing List Builder and the manual creation of the ASN which pulls packing list data into the shipment container detail.

With either method in place, supply chain stakeholders are able to view information about a shipment, including feeder vessels and mother vessels. The system also provides summary information and the ability to filter shipment information by specific vendors, order numbers, ports or lading, even style numbers.

The Logistics Module plays a critical role in product time to market and margin potential.
