Unified Buying Engine Functionality

TradeStone's Unified Buying Engine contains robust functionality that powers the TradeStone Suite. Some of these capabilities include:

The Dashboard organizes all critical product, transactional, and navigational information for the user. With hierarchical views for all supply chain stakeholders, the Dashboard presents a logical combination of stoplighted world views for alerts, daily tasks checklists, and reports.

Business content is embedded into the TradeStone Suite that allows users to standardize product attribute information. Additionally, international and industry standard codes are rooted in the application. The Reference Tables, such as ISO, Unifact, GCI codes, HTS, and freight rates are available for validation, cross-referencing, and process hierarchy.

Models are powerful calculators that highlight unique product lifecycle functionality. For example, Events Models establish specific production, quality assurance, and logistics milestones for products, based on their classification or a customer's own unique processes. The Bill of Materials model defines the component materials, the percent to total, country of origin, quantity, HTS, and weights and measures. The Costing models capture the cost components in an order according to commodity, country of origin, and shipping method. Other models include Notes, Size, Allocation, and Documents and Conditions to cover all other calculations.

Built-in Processes allow the customer to design additional product information that they want to capture. For example, users can modify existing models to better fit their unique business practices. Associations take those models and link them to a particular transaction. For example, a Purchase Order can have a modified size and color model linked to it. These processes and associations represent real-world specificity necessary in so many orders.

The Unified Buying Engine powers global commerce transactions yet masks the complexities inherent with international and domestic trade. With one way to buy, supply chain stakeholders can concentrate on their special contribution to product success and profitability.
