Design Philosophy

TradeStone believes that creating a core competency around sourcing, global order management, quality management and PLM for retail requires a solution that respects the retailers' pressure-filled environment. To that end, we've designed a composite application that mirrors the way users approach their workload, eliminating the mundane data entry and clerical tasks with more strategic goals for product margins. To meet our client’s private label needs, we adopted three design philosophies and built the TradeStone Merchandise Lifecycle Management suit around these key tenets:

Adapt:
TradeStone’s MLM suite fills the global sourcing gaps by layering over an organization’s existing infrastructure rather than attempting to replace it or install yet another monolithic application. By eliminating the need to access multiple systems and replacing the use of myriad spreadsheets TradeStone is able to speed the time it takes retailers and wholesalers to bring their private label products to market.
Adopt: Rapid and deep adoption can be driven only by a user experience that is so inherently intuitive that the need for training is eliminated. TradeStone’s MLM suite was built with the mindset that there would be little opportunity for the training of suppliers and partners that were separated from buyers by far flung geographies, different languages and multiple currencies.
Adept: Most importantly, TradeStone wanted to make users more adept at sourcing, global order management, quality management and PLM for retail by offering one unified view, access and interaction across multiple systems and by allowing for new steps and processes to be easily introduced into an organization. That way, no matter who the user is or what role he/she plays in the buying, sourcing or selling process, there is one centralized system that can be shared by the entire community.
