TradeStone Names Holly Allison Vice President of Marketing and Business Development
Industry Veteran to Spearhead Marketing and Partnership Initiatives, Drive Company Growth

Gloucester, Mass., September 27, 2005 — TradeStone Software, the leader in enabling domestic and international sourcing through a Unified Buying Process, today announced the appointment of Holly Allison as vice president of marketing and business development. Allison brings a wealth of marketing experience in the retail, manufacturing and supply chain sectors, which has given her a solid foundation for her new position spearheading the future direction of the company's marketing efforts.

Allison's primary responsibility will be to continue building TradeStone's brand within the sourcing and retail communities, executing a marketing strategy that will drive TradeStone's sales growth in the coming year. Her appointment comes at a crucial time in the company's development, as TradeStone recently embarked on an initiative to greatly expand its sales team with the appointment of President Joe Dugan. Allison will also take on a key role in new business development, pursuing relationships with technology partners, other software companies, information providers and consultant organizations to help the company continue on its path of rapid growth and create a truly global commerce community for TradeStone customers.

"Holly's extensive experience in marketing supply chain companies and her work in the manufacturing, retail and consumer packaged goods sectors make her an ideal addition to the TradeStone team," said Sue Welch, CEO of TradeStone Software. "Her proven track record of turning ideas into action will help broadcast TradeStone's vision as the company continues to lead the industry in innovative sourcing strategies".

"I'm looking forward to growing TradeStone's marketing program and strategic partnerships," said Allison. "My goal is to help cultivate the company's partner and supplier base, in order to provide TradeStone's customers not just with a technology solution, but with a network of resources that can truly enhance their global sourcing initiatives. By leveraging TradeStone's deep domain expertise, and continuously adding new strategic partners and suppliers, I want to enable our customers to get maximum functionality out of the software and ultimately realize larger profit margins".

Before joining the TradeStone team, Allison served as the director of marketing at Optiant, where she was responsible for all aspects of marketing the company's supply chain design and optimization software. At Optiant, Allison successfully introduced a new product category to an already overcrowded market, gaining traction and mindshare from the analyst and media communities, as well as potential customers. Prior to joining Optiant, Allison was a senior manager of public relations at Ariba, Inc. (formerly SupplierMarket.com), where she spearheaded the growth of the first online marketplace that matched manufacturers with suppliers, opening up new markets to the company's customers.
