Seasoned Global Sourcing Veterans Added to Management Team as TradeStone Software Experiences Rapid Growth
Gloucester, Mass., April 20, 2004 — TradeStone Software, a pioneering leader in collaborative e-sourcing software that enables companies to mainstream international trade as a key part of their business, today announced that Robert Kaufman has joined the company as vice president of professional services and alliances and that Nancy Karlson has been named vice president of sales. Both will report directly to TradeStone's President & CEO Sue Welch.
In his role, Kaufman will direct and evolve TradeStone's professional services organization to meet the needs of a rapidly growing international customer base. Kaufman will also focus on building alliances with leading systems integration partners to ensure that clients receive world-class software implementations.
Kaufman brings more than 15 years of supply chain industry leadership to TradeStone. As a partner at consultancy Kurt Salmon Associates he led significant global sourcing implementations for companies like Sears, Talbots and The Home Depot, and has a strong delivery and project management track-record. Kaufman earned a B.S. in Information and Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is certified in Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS) and has authored articles on import management systems, supply chain management and manufacturing planning.
As vice president of sales, Karlson will have overall responsibility for sales for the organization. Karlson has established a successful track record of partnering with major retail clients, including Saks, Talbots, Lenox and American Eagle Outfitters. Prior to joining TradeStone as director of sales, Karlson was with QRS where she spearheaded the application sales efforts for the company's Sourcing and Event Management products. Karlson joined QRS as part of the RockPort Trade Systems team, which was acquired by QRS in 2000 and where she was the regional sales manager for the Northeast region. Karlson earned a B.A. in History from Boston University.
"At TradeStone we're responding to rapid growth by doing everything we can to enhance our customers' experience – and that includes strengthening our management team with proven talent," said Sue Welch, president and CEO of TradeStone Software. "Robert's experience in professional services and global sourcing systems selection and deployment will be an invaluable asset as we continue to grow.
